Patti uses a variety of mixed media techniques in creating her artworks. Watercolor, photography, pastel, and hand cast paper are just some of the materials included in many of the finished pieces. Frequently choosing the unexpected approach, Patti often uses simple objects - a handprint in papier-mâché, a piece of barbed wire - to add an important dimension to the written word that in turn adds to its emotional impact.
