Ornament - Encaustic birds

This encaustic ornament features four birds perched together on a branch. It is comprised of multiple layers of clear and pigmented wax with raised white and red dots which add to the overall texture and holiday feel.

The ornament is 2.5" x 2.5", and it is painted on wood with the edges painted silver. An eyelet at the top for hanging is adorned with a festive red ribbon. The ornament is signed and dated with the year on the back, and it is packaged in an organza bag for gift-giving. 

Also included is an encaustic care card which tells about the encaustic process, history, and how to care for your ornament.

Due to the nature of the encaustic process, no two pieces are ever exactly alike. The ornament you receive will be created in the same style and palette as the one pictured, but will feature its own unique textures, patterns, and variations.
